I saw a group of them a while back, and the kids and I waved and smiled and saluted them. They were next to us at a stop light, and the rest of the drive I couldn&#39;t help but cry. The military connection runs deep in my family. And the fact that my parents fled their home country and eventually made their way here so that they could live in freedom makes me so proud of people like the Freedom Riders.<br /><br />Anyone who preaches hatred is in no way a Christian. Anyone who condemns others because they are, as some so-called Christians say, &quot;against God&#39;s will&quot; is blatantly ignorant of God&#39;s will and the way of Jesus. Jesus was not exclusive; HE was the one who talked to, embraced, and lived among the outcasts of society. On the other end, I&#39;ve heard of a Biker Club that also arrives at those same funerals and creates a border to protect the grieving family from the protestors.
